Training & Coaching

Training

The TBRI® Caregiver Training curriculum is applicable to birth parents, foster and adoptive parents, kinship caregivers, clinicians, social services professionals, teachers–anyone who cares for children. Even though it was developed for children with a trauma history, the principles are relevant for all relationships.

Because connection is the heart of what we teach, we only provide the Caregiver Training in-person. We want our participants to get the full benefit of what they are learning, and we don’t find virtual training as effective as in-person.

Since TBRI® is a way of life and not just a parenting theory, in-person training is recommended for both caregivers, if there are two caregivers within the home.

The full Caregiver Training consists of 4 sections of 6 hours each, for a total of 24 hours of curriculum. We are happy to adjust the timing of each session to meet the needs of the individual or group.

  • Empowering Principles to address physical needs

  • Connecting Principles to address attachment needs

  • Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors

Coaching

Coaching is for those individuals who already have TBRI® training and need further one-on-one support. Coaching is available in-person or virtually.

For fee information, please contact us. It is our desire to offer training to everyone who is interested, and we do not want limited financial resources to interfere.
Scholarships available upon request.
